Ready for some summer weather? Us too! 🌞☀️🕶️ it’s been a LONG spring. 🫤 Hopefully it heats up! ⛱️

We are leaving Kelowna today to spending a week in Osoyoos 🌵🏜️🏝️. First time there. Grateful for our fantastic admin team 📲💻! It takes a village and our crew is stellar. Here for our clients while enjoying some summer fun! ☺️

After many months of wait and see and a number of

After many months of wait and see and a number of years of rate increases, we finally have a 0.25% rate cut to the Bank of Canada prime rate. 🤩 What’s next? Future cuts! Rate cuts to Prime do not happen in isolation, this will be a series of decreases over the next year or more. Economist predict six to eight cuts. This will depend on the weakness in our national economy, inflation numbers and job numbers. 🤓

For today, it’s good news. 👏🏻 This will start to ease variable rates and we will slowly start to see fixed rates lower. Every cent helps make mortgage costs more affordable for mortgage holders.

Well hello! 👋🏻 The faces of two people who are optimistic and hopeful about a Bank of Canada Prime rate decrease next week!🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

June 5th is the next BoC announcement date 🗓️. Economists are betting it’s possible but not certain. Inflation is under control, there has been some negative economic news. Remember that bad news about our national economy = more chance of a Prime rate drop. Good news = holding steady on Prime. We are ready for improved mortgage rates! 🤓 Our clients are ready too! 💸

A decrease in Prime will trigger a slow and steady decrease in both variable AND fixed rates. This would be great news for all of our partners and friends in real estate and home building. 🤍👏🏻

Every rate decrease will increase the purchasing power of home buyers, will ease the rate pain at mortgage renewal time and will help more Canadians refinance their mortgage if needed. ⚡️

If we don’t see a decrease this time around, then July is very likely. But let’s not think that way! The BoC doesn’t need to wait for the set announcement dates to make a rate change. Positive thoughts only. 🙏🏻

Mark your calendars - if Prime decreases we think a celebration is needed next week! Let us know if you are ready to toast to better rates with us! 🎉 🥂
